Recommended by our hotel concierge and just a couple of minutes from the Charles Bridge, this restaurant is in an historic building. The dining room and bar areas are classically re-created and have the feel of a private club in London. Service was excellent from courteous reception to departure. The wine list offered a good selection of good Czech wines and the usual European choice.The food was well prepared and while I usually keep the printout so that I can remember what we ate, it has disappeared. I would recommend.<\/p>\n

Our hotel recommended this restaurant as we wanted somewhere quiet with an authentic feel to it. Upon arrival it seemed very quiet, it was, however this just meant we got more attention! Welcome aperitif and treats from the chef were delicious. The menu has something to suit all tastes, we chose the lobster starters and Chateaubriand. We asked for a mid range wine recommendation which was perfection with our meal. Service excellent, value for money for the quality of produce and attention given by the chef to his menu was good. The restaurant is beautiful I hope they continue to become busy as they deserve to be, we loved our evening there.<\/p>\n

Have just dined here after wandering purposefully not very far from the crowded tourist area. Service and food faultless with a knowledgeable sommelier who listened to my request and chose a great wine. Beautiful restaurant in a 15C building. Meal portions perfect, beautifully executed and presented. Top class fine dining that didn\u2019t really break the bank. A fitting end to our stay in Prague. On a warm summerday, the streets crowded with tourists , we were looking for a nice place to have lunch. Lots of restaurants to go to, lots of offers for affordable meals and snacks.. But then, in a quiet corner we found this place. In a historical atmosphere we had a lovely seat. The menu is great, there is a choice of fish and vegetarian meals as well as meat. The dishes we had were terrific, especcialy the starters. We had a very pleasant time there, had great food and hope to return there the next time we visit prague.<\/p>\n

We happened upon this restaurant by chance and are so glad that we did as it turned out to be one of the best meals we’d had for a long time and without doubt the best we’d had in Prague. There was only one other couple dining when we went in yet it felt comfortable and the staff, while attentive, were discreet. The waiters were delightful in a polite, understated way and we were treated to the most delicious meal in gorgeous surroundings. My main meal of duck breast was stunning. We asked to swap a the roasted pork dish and they were did so readily, swapping it for quail. Also some of our party wanted the pairing wines and others didn’t and they were happy to accommodate that as well.<\/p>\n
If you want to experience what Prague probably felt like in its heyday, try U Maliru – it may end up being one of your top Prague vacation experiences.<\/p>\n

This is a fine-dining establishment, with white tablecloths and “correct” but friendly service, but the pricing is an exceptionally good value for the experience. We had a lovely evening at U Maliru last week. We were welcomed into the restaurant by friendly waiting staff and the whole experience was very relaxed. They let us take our time to settle into the atmosphere and order an aperitif before even looking at the menu. The waiter introduced the menu with a short but informative history of the restaurant which was truly interesting. We ordered the foie gras and lobster bisque for starters which were both really tasty and then we shared the chateaubriand for main. The chateaubriand was flamb\u00e9ed at the table by the waiter and was done excellently. The amuse bouche and chocolates were a really nice touch. Amazing experience, amazing food and amazing service. Highly recommend.<\/p>\n
