Restaurant U Malířů 1543
The U Malířů Restaurant can be found in Maltézské náměstí Square, in Prague`s Lesser Town. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Prague. Preserved records of the oldest restaurants in Prague mention the year 1543 and Emperor Rudolph II. is said to have been among its guests. The current interior dates back to 1936-1937, when the original wall frescos were painted. The restaurant provides a stylish and cozy atmosphere with great emphasis placed on detail and luxury. Vaulted ceilings, restored frescos, period furniture and the natural division of the restaurant into two separate parts, a lounge and a bar area, invite you in for a pleasant experience. Guest can also use a club with a piano in which private events can be held.
Excellent food
Chef Miroslav Doležal and his team prepare selected delicacies of Czech and international cuisines. In addition to the regular menu, the restaurant also offers a seasonal selection. You can try the carefully prepared chef`s sampling menu and complete it with wine pairing.
